Melbourne's first group vascular surgery practice

Yarra Vascular Surgeons was established as Melbourne's first group vascular surgery practice. The practice is built on collaboration: patients benefit from shared clinical experience and access to medical management, minimally invasive endovascular procedures and open vascular surgery where appropriate.

A collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Yarra Vascular Surgeons brings together vascular and endovascular surgeons, a vascular medicine and perioperative physician, and a nephrologist. This multidisciplinary model supports coordinated decision-making for patients with straightforward concerns as well as complex vascular, renal access and perioperative needs.

Patients benefit from the shared experience of a multidisciplinary vascular group rather than a single clinician or a single treatment method. The team manages complex arterial, venous, dialysis access, wound and limb-salvage problems, often in collaboration with other specialists.

Care from diagnosis to treatment

Many patients begin their care through our onsite vascular ultrasound clinic, our dedicated varicose and spider vein clinic, or specialist assessment for a wound or ulcer. By bringing diagnostic imaging, vascular expertise and treatment planning together within the same practice, we can identify the underlying problem and coordinate the next step efficiently.

Our surgeons perform endovascular procedures and open vascular surgery, allowing recommendations to be based on suitability and long-term needs. Not every patient needs a procedure, and ongoing review and ultrasound surveillance help monitor disease over time.

Where we consult

Yarra Vascular Surgeons consults from main rooms in Heidelberg, Richmond and Epping, with additional consulting locations across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, including Sunbury, Bendigo, Cranbourne, Wantirna and Malvern. This network helps patients access specialist vascular care closer to home while maintaining the benefits of a collaborative group practice.
