Referring a patient

We are happy to receive calls or emails from referring GPs, specialists and allied health professionals to discuss a particular patient or answer your questions. Do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss a case.

Types of patients

We see the following types of patients:

  • Private patients (those with private health insurance)
  • Self-funded patients (uninsured patients willing to pay directly for their surgery to avoid the public waiting list)
  • Public patients (uninsured patients)
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) patients
  • WorkSafe Victoria (workers compensation) patients
  • Transport Accident Commission (TAC) patients

Please note: we do not bulk-bill in the private consulting rooms. If a public patient needs surgery, they will be charged our normal consulting fees at the clinic, and public or self-funded surgery options will then be offered.
